RIFLE SHOOTING.

{ PARAPARAUMU (WHAREROA) V. j LEVIN D.R.C. A pleasant day’s shooting took place at Paraparaumu on Saturday, 14th, when the Levin team tried conclusions with the local team for tho Field Shield. The local men scored 706 over ranges 200, 500 and 600 yards, whilst the visitors scored 676 over the three ranges. The Whareroa Club therefore retain the shield until wrested from them by another club. At the conclusion of the match tho usual courtesies were passed. The ladies provided ample*, refreshments, 1 and received a hearty vote of thanks and three cheers from all present. Following are the scores:— Whareroa. 200 500 600

On Saturday last the members of the i Hautere Rifle Club started the third round of the. belt and shooting for I trophies.
