DEFAULTING SOLDIERS.
A complaint was made at the Christchurch Repatriation Board’s meeting that recently, in- four or five cases, good jobs had been found for men who had expressed their satisfaction with them and then lmd never turned up to work at all. The opinion was expressed that tbemicn had an obligation to their employers as well a- the employers having an obligation t” the returned men. It was suggested., that the men who defaulted should be “black listed,” but it y.-ns thought that first of "all they should have the opportunity to cxplai.n their conduct.
