I Referring- to the good prices (up to l 13UU guineas) realised at Mr lan Dun- ', can's recent sale of yearlings, a Sydnef paper remarks:^ —"Of something over 700 yearlings to be offered at the_ coming Ramhviek yearling sales, veryfew- will equal Ilio prices mentioned. It looks as if the tote's opponents will have to find some other objection than the alleged injury it does to the thoroughbred industry. With the experience of totalisator countries like France and Argentine -before them, the objection was never taken very seriously by people who do their own reading and reasoning,''''
