HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL. DOG TAX, 1920. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Mr GEORGE WATSON, whose place of residence is Princess Street. Levin, has been appointed Registrar and Dog Tax Collector tor the Horowhenua County for 1920. The fees payable as fixed by the Council are: — (1) For House and Sporting Dogs, 10s per head. TN pursuance and exercise ot the powers vested in it in that behalf by Section 10 of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act. 1913," and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Special Bating Area in the •Horowhenua County hereinafter described, testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers of the said Special Rating Area, the Capital Value of whose properties as appearing in the Valuation Roll of the said County, is collectively greater than the Capital Values of the properties of the Ratepayers who did not so consent, the Horo.vkenua County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order, as follows: — That for the .purpose of surveying and making a road on the North Bank of the Otaki Gorge from tho Taungata Bridge to the. Waitalapia Stream, tho said Horowhenua County Council hereby authorises ,tho raising of a loan of £750 at, 41 per cent for 36jj years, and declares that the first year's Interest on the loan and the cost of raising the loan shall not be paid out of the moneys so raised. SPECIAL RATING AREA. The North Bank, Otaki Gorge, Special Rating District, comprising Sections 10 and 17, Block IV., Kaitawa ,S.D.. ami Sections lb, VJ and 20, Block V., Taungata S.D. The above Special Order was made I a Special Meeting of the Hornwhem County Council, held on the 10th do of January, 1920. and will be submits for confirmation at tho ordinary mee ing of the said Council to bo' held i the 11th day of February, 11)20.
