Yesterday was the hottest day of the present summer. In Otaki the thermometer registered Sill in the shade, while at Te lloro it registered S-7 in the shade. I The matron and nursing staff at the | Otaki Hospital are having a very busy j time just now. there being a goodly number of patients at the institution. Fortunately all the influenza patients have done excellently, and most have been discharged. Ihe tow influenza 1 patients now at the hospital are mild Messrs Dalgety and Co.. Eld., will hold a clearing sale on account of Messrs Walsh and JcfTares. who have disposed of their farm, on Monday next, ldth inst., at the farm, near Otaki Kailway.
