LEVIN BUILDING SOCIETY
TENTH ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual genera! meeting of the Levin Terminating Building Society was held last evening. Mr I’. W. Goldsmith. chairman of diifctors. was in the chair, and there was a fair attendance of shareholders.
The report stated that during tinpast year four appropriations were held, two each bv ballot and sale; but
owing to the meeting in connection with one of the latter having to be postponed over the financial balance, the present balance-sheet does not benefit by the amount of premium on the last appropriation, which would have increased the net profit for the
year to £t!S Is 4d from £22 Ids 4d as shown. The directorate deem it advisable, owing to the several changes on the directorate, to elect a new board of seven directors, for which the present members offer themselves for election. The retiring auditors, Messrs Gold and Arcus, of AVellington, offer themselves, and are eligible for reeleetion.
The report and balance-sheet, which showe'd the finances to be in a satisfactory position. were_ adopted.
Messrs P. AV. Goldsmith, F. G. Roe, H. Walker. C. T. Davis, H. Blaeklnirne, J. AV. Gibson, and C. S. Keedwell were elected a board of directors. and Messrs Gold and Arc-us were appointed auditors for the coming year.
