LABOUR OPINIONS.

The Wellington North branch of the Labour Party at a recent meeting passed two resolutions that were com niunicatcd to the Press. The first was a protest against the projected Parliamentary trip to Samoa. It set out at length that the trip will be a waste of coal and shipping. The second resolution ran thus: “That this branch oi the New Zealand Pa hour Party rejoices in the success of the Russian people in their heroic and historic struggle for the right of self-dcterniination, despite the appalling forces that were brought to bear against her by the reactionurv Governmcnts of Europe and America and calumnious attacks of a capitalistcontrolled Press and cable service, and trust that the day has now dawned when Russia shall no longer be impeded in her »elf-imposed mission and laudable intention Of hastening the realise-.' tion of the brotherhood of man, the materialisation of the dream of the years—the Kingdom of God on earth, as it is in Heaven.”
