At the Fox-ton races on Friday Luke won the Hack Hurdles. Stutter the Whirokino Hack, Moutoa Ivanova the President's. Bell o' the Camp the Trial, Fisher the Carnarvon, Gold Problem the Wharangi. Amberine the January Hack, and Idle Talk the Moutoa Welter. From the above it will be seen that locally-trained horses were very successful.

WAIKANAE YEARLING SALES

There was a large attendance at. the sale of the Waikanae yearlings, and the eight lots all brought good prices. The sale yielded 6630gns, or an average of over 830gns.
