BOWLING.
Much interest centred iu the bowling match, played at Otaki on [Saturday, between links representing Otaki Railway and Oiuki township. The latter proved victorious by 105 to 90 points. Unfortunately some of the score cards were badly kept, but wo give particulars of rinks as far as available. Following are the scores, Otaki Railway players being mentioned tirst in each ease:— Williams, Isherwood. Ayre, Olliver v. Cotterell, Petrie, O’Rourke, Brandon, 11—20. Same v. Jackson, l’etrie, Smith, Sathorloy. 21 —22. Gooding. Bennett, Noble, Kilmistcr v. Cultorell, Petrie, O’Rourke, Brandon, 12—19. Kilmistcr v. Bills, 13 —IS. Webster v. Bills, 21 —9. Wind ley v. Sutherley. 12 —37. Three rinks from the Otaki Bowling Club wilt visit. Hatuitai on Anniversary Day (22nd inst.) So pleased are the Pctone bowlers with the treatment meted out to them while on a visit to Otaki that they, have writeu a loiter in terms of strong appreciation, and invile, the. local club to pay a visit to Pclonc so that the compliment could be returned. In view of this it is probable that the Otaki Club wHI shortly send along one or two rinks.
