GO-SLOW POLICY.

REDUCTION IN OUTPUT

The "go-slow-*" policy is still being maintained by the coalmiuors employed at tlfo Taupiri, Pukcmiro, and H.kurangi mines, which resumed operations last week. Many men were absent from the Taupiri and Pulseiniro mines on Monday, and as there still are absentees the daily output has been less than before tho holidays, More men, however, have resumed during the past day Or two, and it is probable that the Usual number will be at work next week.

Tho Northern Coal Company closed the Kiripaka mine shortly before Christmas, and work will not be resumed until the miners have given an undertaking that they will abandon the "go-slow" policy which was introduced for the second time about the middle of December.
