LAWN TENNIS.

OTAKI CLUB COMPETITIONS.

Arrangements have been made for holding the annual club competitions on the Otaki courts. Entries arc now being invited for ladies' and men's handicap singles arid doubles and cum.-' bined doubles. An. entry feu of thijfe shillings covers entries for all events, and prizes will be given the winners. Entries will close with ilie secretary (Mr Atmore) on Saturday next, and the competitions will commence at once. Competitors are requested .to select their own partners for the doubles. These competitions should create considerable interest, and it is hoped members will join heartily in same.

"Ladder" competitions ««!,.!• commence immediately. Tho "ladders'' are being arrauged, and will be posted in the pavilion. As many of the players are now members, it is difficult to place the players in order of merit, but a few contosts will soon place the competitors in their proper places.
