It would no doubt ■ a slight return if, to lighten their j labours, the public would buy stamps j likely to last, them roar or five weeks ’ alM ] avoid wherever possible the coun- • ter business of buying cue or twe ■ stamps at a time. It is, of course, . against pubic, service rules for such I consideration to be asked tor by tic , officials at the hands of t lc public; but might be appreciated by them.
