Riotous Behaviour. At the Otaki Police Court on Saturday, Sam Cook was charged with imbibing uiiv is'.-lv. causing damage and committing assault. He staled that lie had been reading “The Yellow Peril.” but the Bendi (.Messrs Freeman & Bennett) considered the olTumU-r's behaviour due more to tu.-iing from a battle, lei being drunk accused was convicted ami discharged. for assaulting Mnrv Lee he was lined 2-'-. and ordered to pay medical expenses 21s, for assaulting George l.ce he v.as called upon to pay 2"s f for using obscene language fined £5, and for wilful damage to a door 2 ° , aud ordered to pay a further 20* fur the damage -lone - in all fid !-.
