MANAKAU NOTES.

Miss Clarkson, of Manakau, met with mu unfortunate accident on Christmas Kvc. She was ridiug on horseback and. fell, sustaining a frneture of 1 lie collarbone. Medical aid was sought, and Miss Clarkson is now doing as ■well as can be expected. - Among the many visitors to Manuka 11 for the Christmas holidays is Mr* Geo. T. Hanlon, of Whangamoana. for many years a resident of Manakau. The service held at the Anglican Church on Christmas Day was splendidly attended. The church, was very prettily decorated. At the Manakau Methodist* Church, on Christmas Night, there was a very : large congregation,-and a most hearty j and enjoyable service was conducted by the Rev. W. G. Slade, M.A. Th cdlection—a liberal one —will be dev«dc»! to the North Island Methodist Orphanage Fund.
