BOWLING.

* Owing to heavy rain on Friday the bowling match, Otaki v. Johnsonville, did not eventuate, the former receiving a telegram at Paekakariki to say the weather was too boisterous for play. During the holidays several interesting games were played on the local green. A team from the seaside resort played a rink from Otaki and went under by a substantial margin. Foxton on Saturday played Pahiatua (holders) for the Dixon Cup, but were defeated by one after playing an extra head.
