A full sister to Gaekwar will be sold at Mr Whiley's sale at Ohau on Thursday. Manu, tho winner of many races, had the misfortune to break a leg, and a friendly bullet was required to end his bufferings. The owner, Mr Nat 'Williams, suffers a loss, as the carrier of the "brown and gold" was a useful animal. At the time of his accident Manu was enjoying a well-deserved rest. In consequence of his recent successes Hushabye has found many admirers, and Mr Williams has received tempting offers. .... _ Mr Frank Higgott will be among the patrons at the coming meetings in the South, and will have a string of three — Melita, Tyne, and Glorify—as his representatives. Some Girl is already in the South, and will fulfil engagements at meetings there.
