Two local residents—Maneel Knock* and Sam Cootcs —were charged with the theft of two pigs, value £5. the property of Samuel Morgan, of Hauler® Cross. . Detective QuirJce, who conducted the j ease on behalf of the police, asked for an adjournment till 10 a.rst. on Friday. * and at the same time objected to Trail. Mr StavelejY who appeared for the. accused, considered the application relative to bail unfair, and pointed out that the Bench had known the accused rises, infancy, also .their parent.#, and he contended there was not the lightest' possibility of either of the 'accused leaving the district In view of this ■ he. un&eritatingiy asked that bail be granted.
