LAND AGGREGATION.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —As an ardent supporter of Mr Field in the past, it was with much regret when glancing over the "Kahifi,” Maori Court Gazette, for tho j Court opening in Levin to-day, I | noticed the following entries for the , confirmation of sales of land: —(1) Ngarara West A, section's 28 and 29, Wi Pukere to Isabel Hughes Field; (2) Ngarara West A, section 77e, Hui Hona to Isabel Hughes Field; (3) Ngarara West A, section 31a, Kero Ngapaki and others to William Geoffrey Hughes ■ Field; (4) Ngarara West sections 23 ' and 29, Warihi Tienui and others, to I Isabel Hughes Field; (5) Ngarara | West, section 77, Pero Ngapoki to William Geoffrey Hughes Field; (6) Ngarara West, section 31b, Aneo Ilouato William Hughes Field; (7) section Ngarara West, section 31b, to William Geoffrey Hughes Field; (8) Ngarara ' West A, section 77, Amo Houa to Wil- I linm Geoffrey Hughes Field. Is Isabel Hughes Field our member’s wife? And is William Geoffrey Hughes Field his son? If so, why did not our member make these purchases in his own name ? , Surely it cannot be that our member ' has already in his own name sufficient j land, and the law will not allow him to acquire any more? How docs tliis square with his statement at ono of his ' recent meetings that if it could be ( shown that he had more land than was ( sufficient for himself and his family he would relinquish what he had in excess. Does Mrs Field propose to go on the land? "Quantum sufficit." —I am, . . etc., . REFORMER.
