THE FLOWER SHOW.

ON WEDNESDAY AT OTAKI. Prospects for the Otaki Flower Show, to be held on Wednesday next, are most cheering. The date selected is most opportune for roses, which will form a prominent feature of the show, and we may expect to see. a glorious display of the “Queen of Flowers.’ O’f course, many other flowers will be shown, while decorations, cookery, school work, needlework, etc., will also be exhibited. The exhibition will be held in Brights’ Theatre, opening at A p.m. Entries positively close with the sec- ' rotary (Mr S. Norgrove) at the Theatre at midday on Tuesday (to-morrow). No late entries will be received.

Owing to the Theatre being used for picture display to-morrow night, all members of the committee, and others who are willing to assist, are asked to

attend at the Theatre immediately after the picture display, in order to get the tables erected, etc. The refreshment rooms will bo in charge of Mrs Synnott, and show patrons may depend on getting a dainty afternoon tea or supper. Donations of cakes, sweets, etc., for the refreshment rooms and sweets stall will be thankfully received. Mrs L. Ivilmistor is making special efforts to have a fine display of sweets, etc.-, and will also have strawberries and cream on sale.

TVe would urge, readers to make as many entries ns possibly, and also to assist the Society by their attendance at the Show.
