* THE SPRING SHOW. COMMITTEE MEETING.
A meeting of the committee of the above was held on Monday night, when Mr Frank Penu presided over a fair attendance of member?. It was reported that some of the judges appointed for the Spriug Show hud been unable to accept their positions, and the meeting decided on others to be asked to till the vacancies, the arrangements being left in the secretary's hands. The following class stewards were appointed:—Pot plants and cut blooms, Messrs Cockrell,' Wilson and Small; fruit and vegetables. Messrs W. Knight and A. W. Broadway; school work and miscellaneous, Miss Crellin and Rev. Pctric; decorations. Miss Burbush and Mr Wilchell; needlework, Misses Bradcy and I'enn; cookery, Miss Kdmcd and Mr Kilmister. The meeting discussed the matter of a hall for tho Show at considerable length. It was pointed out that, owing to the Town Hr.ll being used as an auction mart, it would cause consider* able inconvenience to remove the goods in oider to enable the show to be held there. Eventually, after full consideration, it waa unanimously decided to hold the .Show in Brights' Theatre. Arrangements were made for having fables erected, etc , in readiness for the Show, and it was decided, should the light in the Theatre be unsatisfactory during the daytime, to have artincial lights during the afterno*n. Arrangements were made for the judges, and committee's luncheons, nl>o for music at the Theatre on the evening of the Show, etc. A number of other matters of detail were discussed and attended to.
