THE COAL TROUBLE.

WORK RESUMED AT WELLINGTON WHAEE. When the call was made for men to work at, the Wellington wharf early yesterday morning, there was a readyresponse, and the wharves presented a busy- appearance. 'Pile men worked the boats recently- to hand from Australia with coal without any- demur. Beyond stating the actual facts regarding the resumption of work on the wharves, the heads of the shipping firms had'nothing to say. There was really nothing to state. Work has been continued, and there were no untoward circumstances. General satisfaction is expressed at the fact that wiser counsels have prevailed with the watersiders, but there if. a general f( cling that the struggle has only- been postponed, and flint in the near future there will lie further fight re the matter.
