CLEARING SALE. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd., report:— We conducted a successful clearing sale of dairy stock on account of Mr H. A. Bockctt at the farm on Thursday, 10th inst. There was a good attendance of buyers present, and although the herd was a moderate lot, there was good competition throughout, and the prices obtained proved satisfactory to the vendor. We quote: Best cows in full profit £2O to £23 10s, medium do. £45 to £l9 10s, three-quartered and latecalving cows £3 to £l3 10s, springing cows £2O 10s to £22, springing heifers £l9, heifers r.w.b. £6, store cows £6 17s fid, cull cows with calves £4 10s to £G ss, good yearling heifers £3 to £6 11s, others £3 to £4 10s, yearling steers (mixed colours) £3 Is to £4 His, aged spring-cart gelding £3O 10s, spring dray and harness £2l Ids, sundries realised good prices. On account of outside vendors: Cow close to profit £23 15s, cow in milk £2O 10s, store pigs £3 15s (id, spring cart horses £lO 5s to £24.
