Tlic Parliamentary Committee of the Trades Union Congress discussed the report of the Conciliation Committee in the recent strike and decided to appoint a sub-committee to consider creating emergency machinery to intervene immediately in order to prevent big strikes. Berlin, October 9. Herr Haase was only slightly wounded. The attack was not made from political motives, but to draw attention to the assailant’s complaints regarding a fraud over a Prussian State lottery. The assailant states he did not intend to kill Haase.. Copenhagen, October 9. The Ukranian Press Bureau reports that heavy fighting is proceeding, and Denikcn’s advance westward is held up.
