ADDINGTON MARKET. Christchurch, October 8. At Addington yards larger entries in most sections was the main feature. There was a decided drop in mufton. Beef is still firm. Store Sheep.—There was a larger entry with a big proportion of inferior hoggets. Values weakened, except for good sorts. Two, 1 and 6-tooth ewes 26s 6d, 4, 6 and S-tooth ewes 22s 3d to 30s, s.m. ewes 235, with lambs 12s 2d to 19s -Id all counted, 2 and 1-tooth wethers 2Ss Id to 30s 3d, 4-tooth wethers 38s 2d to 41s 9d, 4 and 6-tooth wethers 2Ss 6d to ,435, ewe hoggets 25s lid to 3Ss, mixed sex hoggets 20s 3d to 355.

Fat Lambs.—Eighty were penned. Prices fell ss, and ranged from 15s to 40s.

lat Sheep.—The yarding was quite double that of the previous week. The sale opened fairly well, but a sharp decline in prices then occurred. The decrease is estimated at 10s to 15s per head. Extra prime wethers to 695, prime wethers 47s to 59s Gd, medium 40s to 455, lighter 36s to 39s 3d, extra prime ewes 575, prime owes 42s to 4Ss 6d, medium 37s to 40s, lighter 27s 6d to 35s 6d, hoggets 30s to 47s 6d.

Fat Cattle. Three hundred and twenty head were yarded. The sale was very uneven, opening easier, but firming to late rates. Extra prime steers £35 6s to £SO, prime steers £22 to £26. ordinary £lO to £IS, extra prime heifers to £39 10s, prime heifers £l6 to £2l, ordinary £b 7s 6d to £l3, extra prime cows to £24 10s, prime cows £l3 10s to £l9, ordinary cows £7 9s 6d to £l3. Store Cattle.—There was a mixed yarding and a fair sale. Three and four-year-old steers £9 17s 6d to £ll 7s 6d, 2-year-old steers £7 5s to £S 10s, dry cows £4 12s 6d to £3, heifers £7, calves £1 7s to £4 2s 6d.

Vealers.—The inquiry was keen, and values were firm. Runners £5 5s to £S 12s Gd, good vealers £3 to £4 10s, fair vealers 40s to 555, small and inferior 5s to 375.

Dairy Cows.—There was a fair yarding of dairy cows, and a dull tone foy all but good beasts. Second and third culvers £S to £l3 15s, other cows £5 to £S 6s, heifers £3 to £ls IQs.

■ Pigs.—A small entry of fat pigs brought a good demand. Extra heavy baconers- £9 to £9 19s 6d, heavy £7 10s to £3 10s, others £6 to £7 (equal to ll£d per lb), heavy porkers £4 10s to £5 ss, others £3.12s to £4 5s (equal to Is to Is Old per lb), choppers £7 to £l3. There was a good entry of store pigs and an excellent sale. Best stores 60s to 745, medium 55s to 60s, small 3Ss to 475, weaners 5s to 345, sows in pig to £9 15s.
