HOROWHENUA RACES. i There was a large crowd at Levin on Wednesday for tho races. On tho whole the sport was excellent, the racing good, but times, generally, were slow. Speculation on the totalisator, considering the large number in attendance, was dull, and only reached £14,560 for the 1 " day, a drop of £1.136 on last year’s figures. Following are the results:- —.
