HONEYMOON JOURNEY.

YOUNG COUPLE LEAVE BY AEROPLANE.

A new method of starting on a honeymoon journey was adopted by a bride and bridegroom at Chorley Wood. Bucks, recently (states a London paper). On a grassy space immediately in front of the parish church where the wedding took place, an aeroplane was waiting, and as soon as the ceremonies, sacred and social, were over, the eoui-de took their seats in the machine and started their journey to Fowev at 8 o’clock in the evening, the aeroplane landing safely' in a football field.

The adventurous bride was Miss Nora Standen, granddaughter of Mrs Maenamara, of Chorley Wood Lodge, and her husband Mr it. Hamilton, of the Indian Civil .Service. There was no need for the lady to affect a special Hying costume, for the “Avro” limousine three-seater in which the journey was made is proof against wind and rain, and is fitted with armchairs like a luxurious motor car. The luggage consisted of two suit-cases and a copy of Mr Thomas Hardy’s novel, “The Woodlandcrs. ’’

The three scats are arranged in the body of the limousine one behind another, the last being the most comfortable. Colonel Henderson, of the

“Avro’’ Company, stated that the machine was to be devoted especially to such purposes as this. He anticipated that there would henceforth be considerable demand for aeroplanes for wedding trips, though Mr and Mrs Hamilton were pioneers of the movement so far as England was concerned.
