MAORILAND PICTURES.

On Tuesday Paramount presents “As Men Love,” a powerful society drama of a highly entertaining nature. On Saturday “A Doll’s House” will be the leading film. Mr McMillan is making arrangements for securing screening rights of ‘ ‘ Damaged Goods,” which is being shown to packed houses at- Wellington, and is one of the most interesting pictures brought t° this country.

-“KENT, THE HGHTING MAN.”

On Friday evening, at Brights’ Theatre, tho management will screen, by arrangement with Mr A. Linlcy, “Kent, tho Fighting Man,” an allEnglish production, from the popular novel of the same name by George Edgar. The part of “Kent, the Fighting Man,” is played by Bombardier Wells, cx-champion heavy-weight of England. The picture is full of life, and follows the book, which, every reader knows, should make a splendid screen drama. The story is good, the acting is good, the fighting is good, and the mounting and dressing have been carried out regardless of expense. The supporting pictures include Charlie Chaplin in “A Night with Charlie,” a splendid scenic, and another comedy featuring Fatty Arbuekle.
