— ; A TWO-DAYS* SHOW. j A meeting of the committee of the j ITorowhenua A. and I*. Association was j held on Saturday, the president; (Mr S. , A. Broadbelt) presiding over a fid! at- ' tendance of members. • The favourable report of the subcommittee appointed to consider the holding of a two-davs' show in January next was unanimously adopted, and committees were appointed to revise the various sections of the schedule with the addition of a dog trial, thread the needle race, tug-of-war on horseback and other competitions suitable ] to a two-days’ fixture. ! The suggested inclusion of a poultry i section was also fully dealt with. After consideration it was decided to appoint | Messrs C. I. Darkness, 11. if. Essex. and A. McLeavey to interview the j various breeders with a view to asccrj tnining whether a show could not; be | held during the winter by the Association and to include butter, cheese, farm produce, etc. Messrs G. Tally, It. A. McDonald, and F. Davies each promised donations ! of £5 5s to the general fund, which were accepted with thanks*, j It was reported that a picture enterI tainment and a concert would shortly be held to raise funds for the Association, and it was resolved to hold a shop day at; an early date.
