' FOURTH ANNUAL MEETING. . i The annual meeting of the above was , held recently, when Mr T. H. Windley ' pi-esided over a large attendance of I shareholders. Tho report and balance-sheet as read were adopted and considered very satisi factory. The report showed that 5 per leent depreciation had been written off the buildings, but as the plant account only stood in the books at £IOOS 10s 9d, which was very much under its value, nothing had been written off. It was noted that the appropriation account was in credit to the extent of £5517 6s 2d, of which amount £1325 represented actual store losses to May 31 st last, and was therefore not available for. further distribution. This was suiii cient to pay approximately a furthci 4d on-TmUer-fat for the pas! season, when the mouey was available, which would absorb about £44.00. Cheese manufactured was 252 tons 4ewt 2qrs, the milk put on the market was -!7,<io!i gallons, and tlie cream boSight produced 3f>3f;lbs of butter-fat. The store had now been placed under new management, and a qualified accountant (Mr Spencer) has been appointed secretary I of' the company, and the directors felt sure that a prosperous future was in 'store for the shareholders. Every shareholder, stated the report, should do-his best for the company 'by remaining loyal as well to the stoic as to the factory.' It. was further reported that additions, not mentioned in the balancesheet, and comprising new tank ami pasteurising machinery, cost -of which was £2OOO, hud been paid for. The following were elected directors: —Messrs R. 11. Barber, !•'. Evans, J. Faith, J. Guy, R. D. Harkness, I'. J. Ryder, and T. 11. Windley. The latter was again elected chairman.
