Mrs Berrill, mother of Mrs Sid. Sievers, Otaki, is among the visitors to Otaki.

Mr Malcolm Ross, who was the official war correspondent with the New Zenlanders at the front, returned to Wellington by tho Corinthic.

Mr H. Nicolson left Otaki on Monday evening for Claicville, Wairarapa, to visit his mother, who is ktid aside with a severe illness.

Mr Harold Busscll, son of Mr and Mrs C. T. Kusscll (lata of Otaki), and Miss Twecdie were married at Hastings this morning. They will reside in Hastings.

Mr and Mrs Dent, of Pokekoho (well known in this district) intend leaving shortly for several months' holiday, which will be spent in travel to various parts.

Mr T. B. Strong, M.A., senior inspector of schools for the Wanganui Education District, has been appointed Chief Inspector of Schools lor New Zealand, with headquarters at Wellington.

Mr Hone McMillan, of Koputaroa, has just come through a serious illness extending over cloven wooJc*. His many friends will be pleased to hear that he is now on the road to recovery, and that in a short lime he will be in his usual good health.

Mr G. Annabel!, railway officer at Koputaroa, has resigned from the service after a connection of IS years, II of which were spent at Koputaroa. Mr Annabell will in future represent a Palmereton North bacon firm, and will probably be located at Levin.— "Chronicle."
