Christchurch, September 8.
William George Halloway, a retired engineer, 74 years of age, committed suicide by hanging himself. He had been an invalid for several years.
Joseph Henry Chamberlain, aged 43, was found dead.
George Griffiths was killed at Coalgate by a horse falling on him. He leaves a widow and five children.
Hawera, September 8. ’'A young married man, John Fullers, blacksmith, of Frederick Street, Wellington to Hawera on August 28th, linogtn to Hawera on August 288th, met with an accident near town, the wheel of the side-car collapsing, and subsequently was admitted to the hospital, where lie died. He leaves a wife and family of five. Whangarei, September 8. A collision between a trap and a motor cycle resulted in the death of Lewis Oswald Woodcock, aged 24, a single man, on Saturday evening. The shaft of the vehicle struck him in the throat, with great violence, causing almost instantaneous death. Auckland, September 8. While on a voyage from New York to Auckland and four days before reaching port, a seaman on the steamer Australplain fell from aloft and uied from injuries. He was buried at sea.
