HOCKEY.
Two matches are set . down to be played at Otaki on Wednesday. Excelsior will meet Otaki, while Tainui and To Horo will try conclusions, and in both cases good contest* should result. Enthusiasts should make a point
of attending. Schoolboy matches are now the order of the day, and on Saturday lust twe games were played. The State school lads journeyed to Tc Horo, where a very good game resulted. The visitors had the advantage for a time, and were two up, but their opponents got going and before the game ended each side had scored four goals. The Convent boys met the College lads, and secured an cany win, 5-1. Teams for Wcdnesdav:—
