OHAU POST OFFICE.

NEW BUILDING PEOMISED AT EARLY DATE. A deputation, consisting of Messrs C. I. Harknes.., J. H. Murray, H. Andrew and A. Whiley, was introduced by Mr W. H. Field, M.P., to tho Hon. Hii W. Fraser, Acting-Post master-General, in Wellington on Wednesday to urge upon the Government the necessity for bu:lding a new post office at Oban. Mr Field-pointed out to the Miniotei that the present building, which was held by tho Government andc-r W.«* expiring' in February next, had, for Y«zu part, been utterly unfit for posi OfSee purposes, was cramped and inconvenient, and really unfit for human habitation.
