The Victoria Bowling Club, of Wellington, has set a good example to other sports bodies in its method of commemorating peace. After considering a multitude of suggestions ranging from “a block of granite on the green” to an annual smoko, the club has thrown the handkerchief in favour of raising a fund sufficient to insure in perpetuity two prizes to be awarded every year at the Technical School with the approval and co-operation of the authorities. The prizes, which will be of the value of five pounds each and io be known as the Victoria Bowling Club’s Peace Commemoration Prizes, are to be given annually io the two second-year students who attain the highest positions at the annual examination.
