SOCIAL AND PRESENTATIONS. (From our own Correspondent.) A very pleasing ceremony took place in the "Public Hall last evening, when .two young ladies, Miss Grace Prouse and Miss Howard, who have taken a preminent and active part in Anglican j Ctnireli matters, were farewelled by the , residents. For some years Miss Prouse has acted as organist at St. Anne'.?. Hauterc. and Miss Howard has acted in j a.similar capacity at Te Horo. After a programme of songs by some o£ the local ladies and gentlemen, given . hrthe usual finished style characteristic ef the Te Horo talent, the vicar, Rev. €r F. Petrie. presented the young Indies wth the gifts subscribed by the people. Miss Howard was given a silver-backed liair brush and mirror, and Miss Prouse an Irish croc-bet lace camisole top and Jarge suede handbag. Mr EH Allen thanked the people on fcehalf of Ihe young ladies in a few well
