BOWLING
♦ The following ten commandments might be useful to bowlers:, — 1. Thou shalt not put any game before bowls.
2. Thou shalt not take unto thee any golf stick, nor tennis racket, nor anything likely to draw thee away from the game of bowls. 3. Thou shalt not take the name of thy president in vain. 4. Remember the Wednesdays and Saturdays of the year, and keep them wholly for bowls. 5. Honour thy president and thy secretary, that thy place may be secure in the matches of thy club. 6. Thou shalt not kill the reputation of a bowler.
7. Thou shalt not prove unfaithful by following after other loves, but shalt give thy heart and soul and mind and strength to bowls.
8. Thou shalt not steal the good name of a fellow bowler.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against a brother bowler. 10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's bowls.
