MAORIS’ WELCOME TO JELLICOE.

Mr Hema to Ao, the local Ngatiraukawa chieftain, recently telegraphed to Admiral Jcllicoe, conveying the local Natives’ welcome to himself and officers and men of the warship New Zealand Mr Hema te Ao has now received, through Mr A. J. Knocks, the following reply:—“Welcome to Aotearoa from yourself and Maori friends much appreciated by all on board New Zealand.— jcllicoe, Admiral of Fleet.”
