RIFLE SHOOTING.
THE FIELD SHIELD. A meeting of delegates from rifle clubs in the Otaki electorate was held in the Council Chambers, Levin, re-t-enllv. Present: Messrs J. Guy (Kauere), W. Ingram (Levin), Jas. Hallara Shannon). G. A. Monk (Xgatiawa). Jlessrs G. P. Catley and G. F. Glacken verc present ex officio. The Whareroa md Shannon Clubs were not represent;<l owing to difficulties in regard to ; ravellingMr G. P. Catley was elected president Edi the ensuing year, and Mr G. F. Slacken secretary. It was agreed that entries for the Field Shield and Fresh Food and Ice Cup close on the second Saturdav in December, and that a fur thcr meeting of delegates be held or that date a* 2.30 p.m. to arrange con ditions. The annnal levy on clubs was hxec at 10s. , , .. \ suppv of new L.M.L.F.. barrel, wil be available for the coming_season.
