FEILDING COALFIELDS.
There is a circumstantial report t the effect that Feilding lias a genuin and solid coalfield. The report has i that an expert mineralogist from Otag has had a look over the ground, am he is. said to be optimistic regardin: : local developments. Amongst his state incuts is this one: “There is enougl coal in sight where the trial operation are proceeding along Sandon Road t< keep 300 miners going for 30 years.’ ’ Another dictum of the expert is likeb to have a startling effect upon lam transactions in Feilding and district This is that there are beds of con under Feilding in certain directions Here is the prospect of every mar who owns a bit of land in the giver area having his own coalmine! But seriously, if good coal really comes u; out of our district, what a tremendous •activity in industries there will be all along this coast!
