ADDINGTON MARKET. j Christchurch, July 30. At the Addington market there were j fairly large entries of fat cattle and , sheep, and moderate or small yardings ,in other departments. Chief interest , was centred in the fat sheep sale, in i which a further rise of several shillings per head was shown. Fat cattle | also sold at advanced rates and valuos were above export level. There was a ! little improvement in store sheep, especially for forward wethers and good ! ewes in lamb. Pigs of all sorts sold I better. Store cattle and dairy cows j were a moderate lot, but there was a j bettor demand for the former. Veal calves also sold well. 1 Store Sheep.—Four, six, and eighttooth ewes 29s Id to 29s 4d, sound and 1 failing mouth ewes 7s 9d to 235, two and four-tooth wethers 28s to 32s 3d, four, six and eight-tooth wethers 29s 1 to 63b Bd, four and six-tooth wethers ! 29s 4d to 31s, ewe hoggets 28s 9d to i 36s 9d, wether hoggets 26s 6d, mixed I sex hoggets 12s 7d to 24s 9d. I Fat Sheep.—Extra prime wethers to ' 17s 6d, prime wethers 50s to 60s, medium wethers 40s to 495, lighter • wethers 30s to 39s Bd, extra prime ewes 60s, prime ewes 45s to ,555, medium j ewes 37s 6d to 445, lighter owes 30s to 3375, low-conditioned ewes 21s 3d to 29s I 6d, hoggets 21s 3d to 31s 3d. | Fat Cattle.—Extra prime steers to £32 10s, prime steers £l9 5s to £23 10s. ordinary steers £l3 to £lB 12s 6d, prime heifers £l4 15s to £l9, ordinary heifers £8 15s to £l2 15s, prime cows £l2 to £l7 12s 6d, ordinary cows £9 15s to I £l9 2s 6d.
