Semplc, M.P., gave an address at Brooklyn on the coal *uppJy, in which he defended the miners against tho charges of going slow, and dwelt on' the ditugcra and distas-tcfulneM ot mining work. He said the report of the Hoard of Trade upon, the coal industry wm nothing but a move to .sidestep the i'jHne of State ownership. After the address a resolution via carried declaring the only F-olution oi the coal problem, to lie in public owner* ship and control of the industry, and condemning the Board of Trade'* proposal for HCmi-private control.
