| ENTHUSIASM IN FRANCE. j Paris, July 13. It is estimated that there arc six million visitor in the city for the victory fetes which were begun to-day, and witnessed by eight million people. Marshals Joffre, Foch and Petaiu inaugurated the week’s festivities by attending military sports, in the Tuileries Gardens. Them e the Marshals proceeded to the Hotel de Ville and received swords of honour presented by the city of Paris. President Pciiicaic presented to Alarshtil Focli a golden laurel wreath. Crowds thronged tlm boulevards, which were brilliantly illuminated in the cvenin,-. Hundreds of public dances wer<! arranged in the streets and squares. Thousands of people are staying up all to-niglit to secure front places to view Atondar’s parade of the Allied troops. PREPARATIONS IN LONDON. London, July 13. London Peace festivities on July 19th will op-'ll with a great procession of live thousand sailors, soldiers, service women; contingents of Australians. New Zealanders and troops from other Dominions, 3500 Americans, SOO each of French and Italians and smaller bodies bf Belgian and other Allied troons. Two thousand seats will be provided for incapacitated lighters , Old English dances, scenes from Shakespeare, concerts, galas and chil-dren's-entertainments will occupy the parks in the afternoon. A choir of ten thousand, accompanied by massed Guards’ bands, will give a concert in the evening in Hyde Park, where a fireworks displa • will take place at ten o’clock. It is hoped the electrical dispute will be settled.
