Mr and Mrs E. P. Simeox, of Mann kau, left this morning for Auckland where they will spend a holiday.

Mr J. Death, of Palmerston, and erstwhile of Otaki, is at present seriously ill in Wellington, and it is probable will undergo an operation to day.

Mr E. Law, of Shannon, has resigned as a member of tho Borowhe»ua County Council. The resignation was accepted at Saturday'* meeting with regret.
