CROQUET.

- CLUB FORMED AT OTARI. A meeting of ladies interested in the formation of a croquet club, to be run jli conjunction with the Otahi Bowling Club, was held at the Druids’ Hall yesterday afternoon, Mr A. Satherlcy presiding. There was a good attendance, though several were absent on account of an “afternoon'tea” and presentation elsewhere. The chairman said the ladies had been called together to consider the advisability of forming a club, and he advised them to elect a committee, draw up local rules, etc. After discussion some twenty names were given in of those wishing,to become members, after which the following committee was appointed:—Mcsdames Anderson, Synnott, Hodge, Olliyer, Misses Kilsby and Mackie, and Secretary ex officio. Mrs Bills was appointed to the later position. Those present afterwards met to draw up local roles, etc.
