Mr ana.Mrs H. H. Cork, who have left for Auckland, -where Mr Cork takes tip the position of relieving postmaster, were made several presentations before leaving Levin. Mr Cork was met by the Mayor and a representative gathering of citizens in the Borough Chambers and presented with 'a substantial cheque, the Mayor voicing the high regard in which the recipient was held as a public official and as a private citizen. Later the congregation of the Presbyterian Church 'entertained Mr and Mrs Cork, the Kev. Harris presenting them with several gifts on behalf of tho church. The School Committee, of which Mr Cork is a member, also presented him with a cigarette holder and tobacco pouch.
