OBITUARY.

MR WILLIAM KNOCKS. Hr William Knocks, one of oar oldest residents, who was bom in this district about 56 years ago, passed peacefully away at 2 o’clock this morning, after a brief illness. Everything possible was done for him by way of medb cal attention and skilled nursing, but complications set in, and death resulted. Deceased was of a jovial, kindhearted nature, and always reedy to assist by a good turn, and in consequence he will be greatly missed.. Deceased ’was son of Mr “Johnnie” Knocks, one of the oldest settlers in this district, who was at one time clerk of the now- defunct Otaki Road Board. Hr Alf. J. Knocks, of Otaki, and Mrs Hombersley. of Wellington, are brother and sister to deceased.
