Private Jack D’Ath, after as honourable career on active service, h BB returned from distant shorts, and passed through by the troop train which failed to stop yesterday. Mr George Phillips, after a severe bout of illness, is now able to be about again, and is making good progress fo- : wards recovery. • Mr Howard Andrew, still en a health-recruiting tour, is at Otshuhu. He is impressed with the fine telephone installation, and the extent of outlying countrv covered by wires. Many 'homesteads, far back, are connected up. | and, seedless to say. the installation ts I a boo*. . Mr Er&ie George, weH this district, is at present on a visit to Manakac. Mr and Mrs Alf Atkins left to-day to take up residence at Levin. They ■ carry with them the best wishes of many friends. Private George D’Ath, who has been in the Trentham Military Hospital for some time, is at present on a short xurlough.
