Private George Tattersall, of otafci, returned to New Zealand by the Pakeha, w-liich reached Wellington yesday, and is expected to reach Otaki this evening or to-morrow. .

Among the soldiers to returi to New Zealand by the Pakeha, which a-rrived at Wellington yesterday; was Corporal Geoffrey Field, son af the member for this district.

Dr. JScannell, for some time medical officer, at the Otaki Sanatorium, and more •recently of Cambridge and Auckland hospitals (where lie was first assistant) has received an important appointment at the Duncdin Hospital, thatj of first assistant. Wo congratulate) the doctor ou his success.
