The following team has been chosen Jo play against the Manawatu Golf Club on Saturday:—Kirk, Wintcrburu, f.riffitlis. Gray, Brown (captain), F. S. Simeox, R-apley, Hcdditcli, D. S. Mackenzie, P. Simcox, At. Simcox and Porlevin; emergencies, Bennett, Sic vers, anil Hopkins. The Johnsonvillc Club, owing ts being unable to make suitable train uriang&ments, will bo unable to visit. Otaki on Tuesday, as intended. The last two competitions played }>y (he men were won by Griffiths very easily. This player has been off Ins game for a considerable time, and hi* wins were very much overdue. It is he hoped his present fortn will eonimup. In the ladies’ events Mis* Shucox and Miss Fearless played off tlieir tie, the former winning by one stroke. The bogey handicap played last Saturday was won by Miss Quill goad style.
