REPLY TO “STIR ’EM UP.”

Advances to Local Government I Insurance, and Public Trust. It is evi- , dent the elections aTe pending since, Mr Field has been seen and heard in j lthe district lately. What better time, I what better opportunity? The clec- ! tions are always a lever to overcome * a n sound business objections in inat- : jers of this sort. By ail means delecrate the job to our member. Did I say “job”? Take back all I said! The •word is too suggestive! Duty is the : term; it’s more polite and hath a ' pleasanter smell. By all means dele- • gate to Mr Field the “duty.” But I forget! That electric lighting poll was only carried by two votes. The draft- ■ ' ing yards are almost equally fdi- : : Which side of ihe rail will our member t fall over this time? But we do want i -that monev, Mr Editor!—Yours, etc., *•'/.; ‘ SORDID. ■ Otaki, May 24,. 1919.
